What a fun, worthwhile, and cute 12 weeks it has been! With funding from Ample Table for Everyone and in partnership with the Brooklyn Food and Fitness Partnership and Corbin Hill Food Project, NEBHDCo’s community chefs have been very busy teaching 3-4 year olds and their parents, teachers, and school cooks about the joy of cooking and eating food made from scratch. In this short time, our 8 Community Chefs have done 60 cooking demonstrations at over 10 early childcare centers- reaching hundreds of families. As we wrap up the project, we are excited to share that of the participating adults at the workshops, 98% were excited to use the recipe for the day at home and over 80% felt more prepared to do more cooking from scratch at home.
